mycelium
MULM is an exploration of the cultivation and aesthetic application of mycelium. Developed as part of Fabian’s Master’s degree within the project "Fungi Future", the concept focuses on the transformation of raw biological processes into a defined piece of furniture.
MULM translates biological growth into a modular system. This monolithic, block-like structure can be used as a presentation surface, room divider, or side table, bridging the gap between the research of organic materials and functional design. The project is accompanied by a print publication - an artistic exploration that documents the material research and experimental process.
